Oct. 18 (UPI) — Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey said they are open to an Office reunion while appearing on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. “I don’t think there’s ever gonna be a reboot but we really want an Office reunion,” Fischer, who portrayed Pam on the popular sitcom said Thursday after being asked by fan if she ever gets tired of being asked about a potential reboot. “We’re pushing,” Kinsey, who portrayed Angela said with Fischer noting that the reunion could be a special. Fischer and Kinsey host podcast Office Ladies which features the duo watching an episode of The Office every week and offering behind-the-scenes stories. Fischer mentioned that the podcast has made them more open to doing a reunion. ‘Bless the Harts’: Fox renews Kristen Wiig series for Season 2
Oct. 18 (UPI) — Bless the Harts will return for a second season on Fox. The network announced in a tweet Friday that it has renewed the animated series for Season 2. The post shows Kristen Wiig‘s character, Jenny, celebrating as Jesus (Kumail Nanjiani) looks on. “Who cares what time it is?! Crack open a cold one and celebrate with us because #BlesstheHarts will be back for Season 2!” the caption reads. Maya Rudolph, Jillian Bell and Ike Barinholtz co-star on the show. The series follows Jenny Hart (Wiig), a poor single mom living in North Carolina with her daughter (Bell), mother (Rudolph) and boyfriend (Barinholtz). Oct. 18 (UPI) — Mattel announced Friday plans to develop a new live-action film based on children’s television character Barney. Mattel films is teaming up with Get Out and Black Pantherstar Daniel Kaluuya to co-produce the project through his 59% production company. Kaluuya is also producing with Rowan Riley and Amandla Crichlow from 59% along with David Carrico, Adam Paulsen and Bobby Hoppey of Valparaiso Pictures. Kevin McKeon is overseeing for Mattel. Sept. 25 (UPI) — John Stamos and Graham Phillips have joined the cast of The Little Mermaid Live! ABC announced in a press release Wednesday that Stamos, 56, and Phillips, 26, will play Chef Louis and Prince Eric in the upcoming TV special. Stamos previously played Chef Louis in a Hollywood Bowl production of The Little Mermaid in 2016. Stamos made his Broadway debut in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and has also appeared in the musicals Nine and Cabaret. Sept. 25 (UPI) — Actor and television personality Nick Cannon is getting his own talk show. Cannon, 38, will host and produce a nationally syndicated talk show for Lionsgate’s Debmar-Mercury beginning in 2020. “We are excited to be able to announce this collaboration with Nick, who has proven himself to be such a dominant creative and entrepreneurial force across film, primetime TV, music, comedy, stage and online platforms,” Debmar-Mercury co-presidents Mort Marcus and Ira Bernstein said in a statement. Sept. 25 (UPI) — Celebrity siblings Julianne Hough and Derek Hough will star in an NBC holiday special. Julianne, 31, and Derek, 34, will perform musical and dance numbers in the upcoming special Holidays with the Houghs. Holidays with the Houghs is a one-hour show that gives Julianne and Derek’s spin on holiday classics. The special will feature guest appearances from the pair’s celebrity friends, comedy sketches and surprises. “Derek and Julianne are incredibly talented siblings who continue to dazzle audiences with their remarkable performances,” NBC Entertainment EVP of specials Dough Vaughan said ina statement.
