Star Wars Celebration Debuts New Teaser For “The Last Jedi”

April 14 (UPI) — Starting at 11 a.m. EST, Star Wars Celebration in Orlando continues with a special panel dedicated to the next film in the Star Wars saga, The Last Jedi.
Set to feature appearances from writer-director Rian Johnson and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy along with a number of surprise guests, the panel is expected to debut the first footage of The Last Jedi.
Also broadcasting live Friday is a special tribute to Carrie Fisher from Mark Hamill starting at 5:30 p.m. EST.
Star Wars Celebration hosted a special star-studded panel Thursday to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Star Wars: A New Hope which opened in theaters in May of 1977.
On hand were a number of Star Wars franchise star including Hamill, Harrison Ford, Anthony Daniels, Ian McDiarmid, Peter Mayhew, Billy Dee Williams, Warwick Davis, Hayden Christensen and Liam Neeson and Samuel L. Jackson who appeared in video form.
Creator George Lucas was also hand to pay tribute to Fisher alongside the late stars daughter Billie Lourd.
The Last Jedi starring Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Hamill and Lupita Nyong’o arrives in theaters Dec. 15
