Nov. 7 (UPI) — A London-based coffee shop chain said locations are being given the option of checking customer IDs and refusing caffeine sales to those under 16. Costa Coffee, Britain’s largest coffee chain, confirmed a policy has been put into place to allow individual locations to decide whether to check IDs of young-looking customers to make sure they are at least 16 years old. “We do not encourage the sale of caffeine to children under 16 and it is at store discretion to question a customer’s age if they have any concerns,” a chain spokesman told Gloucester Live. “Our advertising is not directed at children and you must be 16 or above to own a Costa Club Card,” the spokesman said. “Caffeine information is available upon request should a customer wish to know the level of caffeine in their favorite Costa coffee.” More

Nov. 7 (UPI) — Abby Lee Miller is back at work amid her battle with cancer. The 52-year-old television personality shared a photo of herself on set Tuesday at her Abby Lee Dance Company in Los Angeles. The picture shows Miller smiling as she sits in a wheelchair in front of the camera. The star didn’t specify what she was filming but tagged her former show, Dance Moms, in the caption. “Grrrrrrrr!!!! Nov. 7 (UPI) — Ariana Grande stumbled onstage while performing her new single “Thank U, Next.” The 25-year-old singer tripped and nearly fell while debuting the song on Wednesday’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneresShow. Grande and her backup dancers, Tayla Parx and Victoria Monet, channeled the 1996 movie First Wives Club. The trio wore all-white ensembles on the stage, which was decorated to look like a wedding reception. The “God is a Woman” singer got up on a chair to sing and dance at one point during the performance. She slipped on the floor while getting down but managed to recover her balance. Nov. 7 (UPI) — Breaking Bad series creator Vince Gilligan is developing a new film that takes place within the same universe as the award-winning drama series. Details on the two-hour film are being kept under wraps, with it being unclear if the project would be released on television or theatrically, noted The Hollywood Reporter. It is also unknown if the film would be a prequel to Breaking Bad — similar to Gilligan’s Better Call Saul — or take place after the series ended. The Albuquerque Journal has reported that the film is being referred to as Greenbrier and that it will follow the escape of a kidnapped man and his quest for freedom. Production is set to begin in November. Nov. 7 (UPI) — An Iowa woman who claimed a $343.9 million Powerball prize admitted she had temporarily lost the ticket until it turned up on the floor of her sister’s truck. Lerynne West, 51, of Redfield, who won half of the jackpot from the Oct. 27 Powerball drawing, told Iowa Lottery officials the ticket she bought from Casey’s in Redfield apparently fell out of her purse while she was riding in her sister’s truck. West said a friend texted her the day after the drawing to tell her there had been a big winner, and she soon discovered that she couldn’t find the ticket. She contacted her sister, who searched the truck and found it on the floor.
